Recovery of stolen firearms nets three arrests

On December 29, 2011 the White County Sheriff's Office took a report in reference to a utility trailer parked near a residence in Letona, Arkansas was broken into and had several firearms stolen from it. The owner suspected that it involved a female who came to his home telling him that she was in an altercation with her boyfriend and needed a ride. It was during the time that he was gone that he suspected the theft occurred. The victim reported that eleven guns and a military-style duffel bag were stolen.

As a result of the investigation, Phillip M. Miller, Joseph W. May and Amanda D. Whitlow were arrested. It was also learned that some of the stolen firearms were in the possession of Jimmy D. Holland who agreed to sell them for compensation.

This investigation resulted in warrants for the participants for the violations of Breaking or Entering a Class D Felony and Theft of Property, a Class C Felony, Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons, a Class D Felony and Theft by Receiving, a Class C Felony.   Jimmy Holland still has active warrants involving this case.
