On Saturday, March 17, 2012 at approximately 1:31 a.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to the 300 block of Village Drive for loud noise.

 

On Saturday, March 17, 2012 at approximately 3:05 a.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to the 3500 block of East Race for a theft report.

 

On Saturday, March 17, 2012 at approximately 1:28 p.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to the 1500 block of West Beebe Capps to assist another agency.

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 at approximately 1:43 a.m., the Searcy Police Department took a report of domestic battery.

 

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 at approximately 2:05 a.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to the WCMC Emergency Room in reference to disorderly conduct.  One male was arrested.

 

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 at approximately 9:22 a.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to the 100 block of Stoneybrook and took a report of theft.

 

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 at approximately 9:31 a.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to 3509 East Race for a shoplifter.  One female was arrested.

 

On Thursday, March 15, 2012 at approximately 2:24 p.m., the Searcy Police Department responded to 600 East Race for a shoplifter. One male was arrested.

White Co. man wanted on warrant

The White County Sheriff's Office is seeking help with locating Gary Lynn Voss, age 38, on charges for Violation of Sex and Child Offender Registration Act.  His whereabouts are unknown at this time. Mr. Voss' last known address was in the Romance area.  If you know where to find Mr. Voss please call the White County Sheriff's Office at 501-279-6279.

SEARCY, Ark. – The Searcy Police Department, with the help of the Arkansas State Police and the White County Sheriff’s Office, set up a safety and sobriety checkpoint on Friday night in Searcy over a span of four hours at two locations. The officers made 18 arrests including two for driving while intoxicated, four for drug-related offenses, five for driving on a suspended license, and seven on outstanding warrants.

In 2009 alone, 10,839 people died in crashes in which a driver or motorcycle rider was at or above the legal limit, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The age group with the highest percentage of alcohol-impaired-driving fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes was the 21-to-24 age group.

BALD KNOB, Ark. (KTHV) -- On February 20, 2012 deputies with the White County Sheriff’s Office found a vehicle parked on a vacant lot on Collins Road with its light off.

Deputies made contact with Billy K. Glaze, 22, of Bald knob, who was sitting in the driver’s seat. Deputies suspected Glaze was involved in drug activity. During a search of the vehicle deputies say they located meth. Central Arkansas Drug Task Force Investigators were contacted to assist in the investigation.

Deputies were made aware of another suspect in the area. With the assistance of the Bald Knob Police Departments K-9 Unit, deputies found Joshua Deeter, 24, of Bald Knob, hiding in the area. Deputies say they found several bags of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the area where Deeter was hiding.

Glaze was taken to the White County Detention Center where he posted a $10,000 bond and issued a court date will be April 3, 2012.

Three men charged with the murder of a 2006 Searcy High School graduate are expected to appear in court on Tuesday to discuss any possible issues before their trial date.
