LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - With the fourth of July fast approaching, it would be good to know where in central Arkansas you can light your fireworks.

Here are some of the cities where you can and can't shoot off your pyrotechnics:

BEEBE, Ark. (KTHV) - Get ready for live entertainment, giant waterslides, free food and a firework display at the 4th of July Extravaganza in Beebe. 

On Saturday, July 4 the town of Beebe will hold its largest community event of the year. Festivities will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Beebe ballpark. Live entertainment including local artists 302 Main, Victoria Taylor, 90 Proof and the Luke Williams Band will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will also be three giant waterslides for all ages to enjoy during the celebration along with face paintings and temporary tattoos. 

Free ice cream, drinks and popcorn will be provided by the City of Beebe, and Beebe civic groups and churches will bring the food. 

To avoid the hassle of parking, there will be a shuttle service available from ASU-Beebe Owen center parking lot to the ballpark beginning at 4 p.m.

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - Free summer movie event 'A Night Under the Stars' begins June 20. 

Teen Recruiters has teamed up with Swank Motion Pictures and local businesses to provide a free movie watching experience at Spring Park in downtown Heber Springs. 

The 2015 lineup includes:

Saturday, June 20- Spare Parts (PG-13)

Saturday, July 11- Paddington (PG)

Saturday, August 22 - Captain America The Winter Solider (PG-13)

Pre-movie events will begin at 7 p.m. and films will begin at dusk. 

Both the pre-movie events and the film showings are free and open for anyone to attend.

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) - Hayden Balgavy and Sarah Fortner served as Shark Tank panel judges in Searcy Wednesday.

At Westside Elementary, Mrs. Blansett’s 1st graders exhibited inventions, apps and robots to try to win a panel of “shark investors.”

This project went hand-in-hand with learning about past inventors like Edison and Franklin.

Things like “Rosa the robot” who cleans your room for you, the kindness app for ways to respond to bullies, even an app for weather, that’s only for kids, were among the prototypes presented.

Judsonia students perform life in 'Natural State'

JUDSONIA, Ark. (KTHV) - First and second graders from Judsonia Elementary are going to perform a program all about Arkansas Thursday, May 7. 

The program will include music, dancing and famous celebrities from Arkansas. There will be two performances, one beginning at 1:30 p.m. for the students and the second at 6 p.m. for the parents. 

Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the kids’ interpretation of the natural state. 

Benton PD needs help locating runaway teen

Benton PD needs help locating runaway teen

BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - The Benton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a 17-year-old who ran away from his home Thursday, April 23.

Christopher Bennett left his home Thursday, and according to reports, has not been seen from his parents since. 

Bennett is described as being a white male standing at approximately 5'6" tall and weighing at around 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He is believed to still be in the central Arkansas area. 

Police stated that any person who knowingly harbors a runaway could face charges.
