Police probe deaths of 2 people at Ark. apartment | News
SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - Police are investigating the deaths of two people found at a home in Searcy as suspicious.
Officers say a woman called authorities after finding her 19-year-old son, Aaron Sweet, and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Samantha Espy, in a bedroom at the woman's apartment early Sunday.
Investigators say Sweet's mother left the pair about 2:30 p.m. Saturday in a bedroom, and they appeared to be asleep when she checked on them about 11 p.m. After the woman left the home and returned about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, she found them again, but she felt her son's leg and it was cold to the touch.
Officers say no drugs or weapons were found with the bodies, which have been taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for toxicology results.
