The Harding men's basketball team will go in search of its thirteenth straight home victory and look to maintain its lead in the Great American Conference on Thursday when it hosts Henderson State at the Rhodes Field House. Tipoff is at 7:30 p.m. and the game will air live in Searcy on KVHU-95.3 FM and on TV16.

Harding graduates Hall, Watson Named to CAC coaching staff

Hall Named Head Boys Basketball Coach; Watson to Assist Football Staff

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Central Arkansas Christian announced today the
addition of two new coaches to the school’s athletic department.

Matt Hall, native of DeQueen, Ark., will take the helm of the boys’ basketball program from Steve Quattlebaum.
Quattlebaum, who has coached both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for the past three years, will focus his attention back on CAC’s girls basketball program where he has amassed a record of 385-143 entering his 18th season of girls’ basketball.

Jordan Watson, native of Pensacola, Fla., will join CAC head coach Tommy Shoemaker’s team as an
assistant coach. Both Hall and Watson will begin in the 2013-2014 school year.

The Theba Thing: Biking Bliss

"The Theba Thing" is about stepping out of my comfort zone, meeting new people and trying the things that have been on my mind and heart.

In the fall of 2011, I was bitten by the bike-riding bug. I went biking at Two Rivers Park with my brother and his family visiting from Fayetteville. I knew I was going to “have to” go, because they’re big into outdoor activities.  So I rode one of their extra bikes and I absolutely had the time of my life.

I had no idea these wonderful scenic trails existed so close to where I lived. I sure have been living in a comfortable bubble, which usually means to me, where there are no bugs, no potential for bumps and scratches and plenty of air conditioning.

Nevertheless, I was hooked. I started planning how both my mother and I could enjoy bike riding together, and get my friends in on the action as well.  But first I had to convince mom that she would enjoy it as much as I did.
