Searcy hosts Arkansas Junior Miss program

SEARCY, Ark. - The Arkansas Junior Miss Scholarship Program provides cash and college-granted scholarships to outstanding young women in our community and state.

Founded in 1958 in Mobile, Alabama, the program is the largest and oldest national scholarship program for high school females.  It has provided life-changing experiences for more than 200,000 young women and more than $3.3 million in cash scholarships at the national Finals alone, and more than $92 million at local, state and national programs combined.  Arkansas Junior Miss strives to give every young woman the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future.

The program inspires high school senior girls to develop their full, individual potential through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments.

Searcy will once again be the proud host of this state program.  The state program will be on Saturday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. Governor Beebe and 1990 Arkansas Junior Miss Tiffeny Crow will be our emcees for the evening. We will also have Cody Slaughter, Arkansas Junior Miss Kristyn Baker and the contestants from across the state entertaining.
