Searcy's annual 'Winter Art Show and Sale'

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) -    The Creative Arts Society will be having their annual "Winter Art Show and Sale" at the Searcy Armory located at 3105 S. Main St. on November 14.

The event is bringing in artists from all over Arkansas and surrounding states offering works of paintings in a variety of different mediums , ceramics, wood turnings, stained glass and other forms of fine art.

The Diagnostic Learning Center of Searcy will be raising funds by selling food and refreshments. There will be live entertainment and door prizes every hour. There will be art from surrounding public schools with an awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m., where ribbons and cash prizes will be presented to the winners. There will also be a painting donated to the White County Cancer Center in remembrance of Rosalinde Gilpin at this time. 

The "Prelude to the Holiday Craft Fair" is also going on at the Carmichael Center. This has become tradition for over 30 years, started by the Searcy Newcomers League and is now hosted by the Searcy Parks and Recreation Department. There will be decor, gifts, baked goods, cards, art, jewelry, clothing and accessories, wood, soaps, lotions, candles, and many other hand crafted and new items.
